HICKS, Virgie Age 90, of Hippo, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at Riverview Health Care Center. She was born in Risner, KY., on October 9, 1911, the daughter of the late Obe and Mary Jones Ousley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hicks, in February 1990. She is survived by three daughters, Edna Mae (Wayne) Harner of Jackson, Mi., Wanda F. (Billy Ray) Hayes of Hueysville, and Loyce R. (John) Kirk of Paintsville, and Crystal River Florida; seven grandchildren, Teresa Harner Vinton, Paula Harner, Randy Harner, Shari Harner, Dr. Steven Hayes, John C. Kirk, and Kim Kirk; and ten great-grandchildren, Richie Vinton, Johnny Zakrzewski, Chinelle Rulison, Andy Rulison, Trevor Harner, Matthew Harner, Rachael Hayes, Will Hayes, Alex Kirk, and Molly Kirk; and one sister, Ethel Sparks of Peru, Indiana. She was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church for 66 years. Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 13, 2002, at 11 a.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, at Martin, KY., with the Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial will be in the Hicks Cemetery, at Hippo, KY, under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY. Pallbearers: Dr. Stan Hayes, John C. Kirk, Randy Harner, Richie Vinton, Andy Rulison, and John Zakrzewski.
