Gary and others have listed several "lost" childlren as belonging to this couple, including my Robert Prather of MS. and all have birthdays before the marriage. I do not think he has any documentation of this and I do not believe it is accurate for several reasons. Whenever I pick up this list of children being born starting when Hannah was 13 or less, I just about scream. -- Kate (Lucy Gilbert)

A number of Prather researchers, including Gary Prather of Texas have identified Robert Prather as a son of Thomas and Hannah Miles Prather. This couple did have a son named Robert Evans Prather, born in 1794 who married Margaret Coplinger (born 1794 in VA) on 4 July 1822 in Jefferson County Indiana. However, this R. E. Prather died without issue and Margaret Coplinger Prather married James Evans on 13 October 1836 in Jefferson County, Indiana. This is not the parentage of the Robert Prather in Mississippi. -- Lucy Gilbert
