OBITUARY - Lyle Dane Brock
Lyle Dane Brock, 86, of Augusta, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, in Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.
He was born April 9, 1915, in Oakland Township, to William and Ora (McCormick) Brock. He married Vera Foster June 10, 1939, in Palmyra, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Michael (wife Carol) Brock of Harlingen, Texas; one daughter Babe (husband Larry) Brock-Hiland, of Augusta; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brock was a retired farmer and enjoyed gardening. He graduated from Vermont High School and was a member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Vermont Cemetery in Vermont with Rev. CW Butch Reneker officiating. Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta is in charge of services.
Memorials may be made to the Southeastern High School Ecology-Botanical Fund.
