Individual Details

Thomas Wesley "Tom" PRATER

(22 May 1852 - 16 Jun 1928)

How Martha Wise got listed as Thomas' mother, well...The informant was an ALLISON. The Allisons have very strong connections to the Praters, so he could have just confused the wife of Carrington with the wife of Joseph. Jane Wyatt died Jan 1860 (mortality schedules) so the informant on Thomas' certificate would never have known her, after all Thomas himself was only 8 years old when she died. But, this is not the 1st time Jane has been confused with Martha. .-- Ann Jenkins, 19 Jan 2008
