Olive Marie Jaynes said that her mother, Minta Edith McIntire, was first married (ca. 1910 ) to a man by the last name of Murphy who was a deputy sheriff at Portageville, MO.
Marie also said that her biological father was Ben Segal (who owned a big store in Portagevil le, MO) and that her mother was never married to him. She said that Mr. Segal died in 1975 .
She said that when her mother married John Clifford Wicker on 25 July 1920 in Portageville, M O, she was already two months pregnant with Marie, so Marie was actually born with the surnam e of Wicker.
