Death
Born in Mahringen, Germany, John married Anna Margaretha Bauer on April 13, 1834. He arrived in New York on the ship REDWOOD on May 17, 1854 with six of their seven children. John and his family arrived in Frankenmuth and bought land northeast of town, on Block Road. The barns still stand to this day.John's seven children had 52 grandchildren, thus making Michigan the most populated with the Keinath family.
John's sister-in-law and three nieces and nephews settled in Edon, Ohio. Another nephew settled in Edgerton, Ohio, while two more nephews settled in Richland County Ohio and Napoleon, Ohio.
