Countess Kunigunde von Waldburg-Sonnenberg

(Bef 1482 - 1538)

Kunigunde was born in 1482, the daughter of Eberhard II, Truchsess von Waldburg, Graf von Sonnenberg, and Gräfin Anna von Fürstenberg. On 11 November 1494 she married Bernhard III, Graf von Eberstein in Neueberstein, the son of Hans, Graf von Eberstein, and Merge von Eppstein-Königstein. Kunigunde and Bernhard had at least sixteen children. Through their son Wilhelm, Kunigunde was the grandmother of her namesake Kunigunde von Eberstein, the wife of Froben Christoph, Graf von Zimmern, author of the Zimmern Chronicle, in which Kunigunde and Bernhard are portrayed. Kunigunde died on 25 September 1536.
