Professional biographyIn January 1967 he started in the advertising business at Eastman Publicidad Ltda.
In 1968 he co-founded Clave Publicidad Ltda. were he served as Director until 1971. In 1969 Clave made the best campaign of the year for Viña Santa Rita (Don't drink Santa Rita, you'll get used to it) Lipthay was co-founder of the Chilean Advertiser's Circle and member of the Association of Chilean Advertising Agencies ACHAP.
Between 1971 and 1973 he participated as free-lancer in several advertising and corporate identity projects.
Co-founder of the private advertising agency CECOM Ltda. where he held the position of Creative Direction between 1973 and 1976.
In 1976 he founded Orbe Publicidad S.A. and was its General Manager until 1978.
Before, between 1976 and 1980, he also attended several communication duties in the public sector: Board Member of Chile Films S.A. the principal film producing corporation, and of SOPESUR S.A., the largest Chilean regional print media network, and advising the Directorate of Social Communications of the Government.
In 1979 until 1980 he was Production Manager of the Chilean National Television.
Between 1981 and 1987 Lipthay was appointed and served as Press and Cultural Attaché for Chile in Austria, Germany and Rumania, serving as Chilean diplomat.
In 1986, he received the Golden Honor Insignia for merit in the service of the Republic of Austria.
Between 1987 and 1989 was setting-up a project for trading activity in Central Europe.
Since 1990 his residence is in Budapest, Hungary. After his arrival in Hungary in 1990 until 1993 representative in Hungary of EUROCOM Corporate & PR Holdings.
