Death

Mary Ann was the daughter of Walfred J. and Mable C. Lund. She grew up in Litchfield, Minnesota, and graduated from University of Minnesota with Honors. After graduation, Mary Ann worked as an aide to U.S. Senator Joseph Ball in Washington D.C. There she met her husband of 58 years, Thaddeus.Mary Ann was active in a number of community organizations, including The Vestry at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, the Yuma Fine Arts Association, and the Assistance League of Yuma.At the time of her passing, Mary Ann was survived by her husband, four sons and daughters-in-law, one sister-in-law, one brother, fourteen grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. She attended the_ University ofI Minnesota where shewas a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, and University of Minnesota Board of Publications. She graduated with honors from the University in 1948. MARY ANN BAKER After graduation' Mary Ann worked as an aide to the United States Senator Joseph Ball in Washington, D.C. It was there that she met her husband of 58 years, Thaddeus G. Baker. They were married November of 1948 in Minnesota. They lived in Illinois, Boulder, Colorado, and Phoenix,Arizona before moving to Yuma in 1954.Mary Anns was active in numerous church, civic and charitable organizations. She served on The Vestryat St. Paul’s Episcopal Church as an officer of E.C.W., was an active and life-long member of P.E.O., Beta Sigma Phi, Yuma Pan-Hellenic, Yuma Fine Arts Association, and Assistance League of Yuma.Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Paul Lund.She is survived by her husband, Thaddeus G. Baker and four sons; Thaddeus G. (Lynne) Baker, Jr., of Flagstaff, Arizona, Etarton L. (Debbie)Baker, of Yuma, Scott M. (Franceska) Baker, of Tucson, Arizona, and Gregory C. (Georgana) Baker, of Temecula,California. She is also survived by one brother, John (Sue) Lund of Deephaven,Minnesota, sister-in-law Lucy Lund of Hopkins, Minnesota, fourteen grandchildren and several nieces,nephews and Godchildren.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Yuma. Services will beheld on Thursday, August 2, 2007, 10a m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. 16th Street and 14th Avenue
