Death

CULVER — Norma R. Newman, 60, of 20197-19th B Road, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital, Plymouth.Born March 1, 1933, in Pulaski, she was the daughter of Frank and Barbara Raderstorf Good. On Nov. 19, 1955, she was married in Monterey to Herbert R. Newman Sr., who survives.Mrs. Newman, who has lived in Culver 38 years, was a retired nurse. She had formerly lived in Monterey.A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Ladies Society of the church, Mrs. Newman also belonged to the American Nurses Association.Also surviving are three daughters, Barbara Penrod, Mulberry, Geri Newman, Beme, and Mary Newman, Bennington; four sons, John, Herbert Jr., and Art, all of Culver, and Ed, Winamac; two brothers, her twin, Norman Good, Fishers, and Vincent Good, Roseville; and 11 grandchildren.One brother preceded in death.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jeffery Largent officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.Friends may call from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday in Bonine Funeral Home, 104 Lakeshore Drive.
