Winamac – Delvie Richard Masterson, 63, of 220 E. Washington St., Winamac, died at 3:45 Saturday at Billings Hospital, Chicago, where he had been a patient for one week.A retired Indiana State Policeman and 33rd degree Mason, he was born Feb. 4, 1922 in Pulaski County, to Arthur Edward and Dora Good Masterson. He was married April 14, 1932, at Crown Point, to Dorothy Kestle, who survives.He had just retired from the Wanatah Stone Company, where he had worked since his retirement from the Indiana State Police in 1963.He was a member of the Winamac Presbyterian Church, the Winamac Masonic Lodge F&AM No. 262, the Scottish Rite of South Bend, the Orak Shrine of Hammond, and OES Chapter No. 96, of Winamac. He was a former Pulaski County probation officer and had lived all his life in the Pulaski County and Winamac area.Surviving besides the wife are four grandchildren and his step-mother, Mrs. Pearl Masterson, Winamac. A son preceded him in death.Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fry and Lange Mortuary, with the Rev. Hal Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Presbyterian Cemetery, Pulaski.Masonic services will be at 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
