PROMENINET MONMOUTH WOMAN DEAD.
Mrs. W.H.Leaman Died Wednesday night at 10:30 from a heart attack- Had only been sick a few hours-
Mrs. W.H.Leaman, age 66 years 3 months and 7 days, died at her home in Monmouth Wednesday night at 10:30 o’clock after having been sick since noon of that day with heart trouble. Mrs. Leaman had been in good health, but her fatal illness was of short duration, and her death was a shock to the community.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Monmouth M.E. church, in charge of the Gregg Funeral home and conducted by Rev. D.P.Neher of the Osage church and assisted by Rev. A.L.Hardy, pastor of the M.E.Church.
The funeral party will go to Madison, KS Sun., where a short service will be held and where the remains will be laid beside Mrs. Leaman’s husband who died about 20 years ago.
Mrs. Leaman was born in Constantinople, Turkey,(Constantinople is now known as Istanbul Turkey.) and had been a resident of Monmouth 25 or 30 years.
She is survived by four children: Schuyler Leaman of Monmouth, Mrs. Fred Suppe of Pittsburg, Mrs. Edgar Castleman and Mrs. Carl Morgan of San Francisco, CA. There are also six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Four brothers: S.F. Rockley and Chas. Rockley of Madison, John Rockley of Eureka and Newton Rockley of Lewisville CO. Two sisters: Mrs. J.H.Kidney of Shirley, IN, and Mrs. W.E.Miller of Springfield IL.
Besides there are many friends and neighbors who mourn with the relatives in their loss.
