OBITUARY :J. HOWARD STAHL, 72, of Rt. 1, died Sunday at Waynesboro Hospital.Born in Franklin County, he was the son of Jacob and Laura Bartle Stahl.He was a member o£ Shank's Church of the Brethren and he was a retired farmer.He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth R. Gehr Stahl; five sons, Glenn H., C. Ellis, and Robert L. Stahl, all of Greencastle, Donald E. Stahl of Fayetteville, and David E. Stahl of Chambersburg; one daughter, Miss Mary E. Stahl, at home; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John Zeger of Mercersburg, and Mrs. Blanche Shives of St. Thomas; and four brothers, John C., C. Omar, and Paul B. Stahl, all of Mercersburg, and D. Herman Stahl of Lemasters.Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Shank's Church of the Brethren near Greencastle with the Rev. Roy Hawbaker and Rev. E. B. Wingert officiating.
