SAMUEL DAVID TRACE, 73, of 12932 Salem Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at his home.Born May 10, 1934 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Kenneth Orvile and Mary Francis Carper Trace.He was retired from the U. S. Army, having served in the Vietnam and Korea Wars.He was retired from Maryland Correctional Institute Hagerstown.He was a member of the American Legion, Morris Frock Post #42, and theHe is survived by his wife of thirty years, Peggy Jacobs Trace; two daughters, Dawn Trace, and Michele Trace, both of Hagerstown; four brothers, Kenneth Trace, James Trace, Richard Trace, and Larry Trace, all of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania;two grandchildren and special sister-in-law, Tammy Jacobs of Smithsburg.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Lester E. Boleyn will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, Maryland. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the American Legion, Morris Frock Post #42.Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m.Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northeran Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742.Endnotes
