Death
Verena Willich Bluett, 86, of Williams Bay, Wis., passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009, at her home in Williams Bay. She was born March 12, 1923, in Burlington, Wis., the daughter of William J. and Mary (nee Koldeway) Willich. She married Robert J. Bluett May 11, 1946, in Burlington. He preceded her in death Sept. 22, 1979. Verena was a member of the National Guild of Decoupeurs and the Questers Explorare #839 of Williams Bay. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah A. Bluett of Delevan, Wis. and Mary Lee (Patrick) Barry of Williams Bay; three sons, Jerry R. (Patricia) of Spokane, Wash., Jeffrey A. (Lena) of Palatine and Robert D. (Tammy) of Athens, Ill.; grandchildren, Sarah and Elizabeth Barry, Robert T. Bluett, J.R. (Kate) Bluett, Diane (Dan) Woodfill, Jennifer (Monte) Brown, Charles (Amy) Bluett, and Rachel and Rebecca Bluett; four great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. A private family Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington, with Father Jeff Thielen officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Burlington. No visitation will be held. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to St. Benedict Human Concerns at St. Benedict Church, 137 Dewey Ave., Fontana, WI 53125. For information, 262-275-2171.
