WAUCONDA - Shirley A. Monfeli, nee Lapniewski, age 72, was a resident of Wauconda, IL. Shirley was the devoted wife to Remo; loving mother to Robert and Richard (Debbie); dearest grandmother to Thomas, Anthony, Lauren, Michael and Joseph Monfeli; fond sister-in-law to Josephine Monfeli and the late Eva (Matt) Kura, Roger (Fran) Monfeli and Sergio Monfeli; great aunt to many. Shirley was born May 10, 1942 in Chicago to the late Edward and Sophie Lapniewski and passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL. Visitation will be Sunday, December 14, 2014, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda, IL 60084. On Monday, December 15, 2014, prayers will start at the funeral home at 10:00 am, proceeding to Transfiguration Parish, 348 W. Mill St., Wauconda, IL, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am.
