Willis Riley SpeltsWillis Riley Spelts, 61, of 21101 Gabot Br., Lakeville, died at 12:35 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after 11 months illness. He was born May 27, 1907, in Linton, Ind., and lived in Lakeville for 27 years.He was married March 30, 1946, to Frances Trowbridge, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, William, of Tasu, B.C., Larry, of Lakeville, Freeman, of South Bend, and Bobby at home; two daughters, Mrs. Betty St. John, of Bloomfield, Ind., and Kathy, at home; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren: five brothers, Alva, of South Bend, Rufus, of Linton, Joe Wayne, of Martinsville, Lester, of Worthington, Ind., and Elmer, of Coal City, Ind.; and a sister, Mrs. Mae Fuetz, of Bloomfield.Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Harden Funeral Home, Lakeville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Paul E. Koehler, of the Olive Branch Church, officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.Published in the South Bend Tribune; Aug 5, 1968.
