Laura D. Zimmerman, 83, of 3773 Orrstown Road, Orrstown, Pa, passed away January 20, 2005 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 2, 1921 in Lurgan, Pa. a daughter of the late Frank and Laura Baler Stouffer.
She owned and operated Laura's Beauty Shop in Orrstown for the past 55 years. She was a graduate of the Harrisburg School of Cosmetology.
She was a member of the Orrstown United Brethren Church, played the piano and organ for the past 68 years and was a member of their Friendly Helpers Sunday School Class, the Music Commission and the Missionary Society.
Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Shippensburg Golden Age Club and AARP #2525 in Shippensburg, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband; John D. Zimmerman who passed away March 9, 1989.
Surviving are a son; Daryl L, Orrstown; a daughter; Lucinda (Mrs. Donald E.) Campbell, Boiling Springs, Pa; a brother Richard Stouffer, Shippensburg; a sister; Evelyn McLaren, Chambersburg, Pa; two grandsons; Christopher R and Gregory S. Campbell of Carlisle, Pa and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceded her in death by five brothers and five sisters.
