CANYON LAKE -- Clifford Wade Hoyt, 74, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001,at Sun City Convalescent Center in Sun City of cancer.
Born Aug. 28, 1927, in Chicago, he lived in Canyon Lake for 13years. He served in the U.S. Army for 32 years, retiring as alieutenant colonel in 1987. He was past president of the Lion'sClub in Canyon Lake. He received a bachelor's degree from KnoxCollege in Galesberg, Ill. He enjoyed golfing.
Mr. Hoyt was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dori Hoyt;and his parents, Josephine and Arthur Hoyt. He is survived by hisson, Bradley Hoyt of Aliso Viejo; daughter Mela Hoyt-Heydon ofFullerton; brothers Arthur Hoyt of Joliet, Ill., and George Hoyt ofIllinois; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced by the family. Interment willbe at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside.
