John Catanzaro, 90, of Middletown died on May 21, 2015; he was born in Chicago, IL. John worked as a marine engineer for the Panama Canal Company. He was a member of the Elks and VFW, a Ham radio operator and loved to travel. John and his wife Olga volunteered at a non-denominational church thrift store in Texas.
Surviving are his daughter & son-in-law, Jane Catanzaro and Paul Pattwell of Red Bank; daughter and son-in-law, Grace Catanzaro and Jack Makowski of South Plainfield; son & daughter-in-law, John A. and Andrea Catanzaro of TX; sister-in-law, Rosa Garner; grandchildren, Sarah, Jane, Analee, Eric, Anthony, Vincent and Noah and 6 great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Olga Catanzaro in 2009, sisters, Rose and Anita; brother, Tom and parents, Anthony and Jane Catanzaro.
A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 10 am at St. James RC Church, Broad St., Red Bank. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
