OBITUARY : MRS. ESTHER V. SHIPP HARTMAN, 66, Rt. 2, died Tuesday evening the Washington County Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Waynesboro, daughter of William and Susan A. Jacobs Shipp and was member of Back Creek Congregation Church of the Brethen. She was a graduate of Washington Township High School. She is survived by her husband, Keller P. Hartman; sons,Raymond K. of Chambersburg, Rt. 5, Robert A. of Mercersburg, Rt. 2, Paul K. of Hagerstown; daughter, Mrs. Harold Ryder of Frederick, Rt. 3; sister, Mrs. Earl K. Kline of Hagerstown, Rt. 5; brothers, Marcus A. Shipp of Waynesboro, Rt. 3; Benjamin F. Shipp, Chambersburg, Rt. 3; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday 2 p.m. at Shank's Church of the Brethren near Greencastle. The Rev. Clarence Showalter and the Rev. Daniel R. Taylor will officiate. Funeral will be in Price's Church Cemetery near Waynesboro. Friends may call at the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Greencastle this evening from 7 to 9 and at the church one hour prior to the time of the services.
