Born Nov. 3, 1915, in Mont Alto, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Margaret Goshorn Gilbert.
Her husband, Paul E. Mong, died Feb. 23, 1981. They were married July 24, 1937.
She was a homemaker.
She attended Mont Alto and Quincy schools.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mont Alto.
She was a member of Mont Alto Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Richard E. Wile of Pasadena, Md., Janet I. Young and Fred A. Wile, both of Waynesboro, Pa.; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two infant children; one daughter, H. Lorraine Wile; one sister, Hazel Hissong; and one brother, L. Paul Gilbert.
