WILLIAM J. CIATTEO SR. William J. Ciatteo Sr., a retired hospital worker and avid reader, died of Alzheimer's disease in his son's Lansdale home on Tuesday. He was 84 and lived in Clifton Heights for 75 years.A teetotaler who favored wingtip shoes and button-down cardigans, Ciatteo retired from Delaware County Memorial Hospital in the late 1980s after 19 years as a receiver in the dietary department. He did the shopping for the patients' meals.Ciatteo took the hospital job when the Kent Knitting Mill in Clifton Heights closed. He had worked there as a textile weaver for 42 years.Not only is the mill gone, but so is the town where Ciatteo spent his early childhood. Cedar Hollow used to be in the Clifton Heights area until it was gobbled up by the expansion of larger communities.Ciatteo was a faithful parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Drexel Hill.Ciatteo is survived by his wife, Magdalena; three sons, William Jr., Robert and Thomas; two daughters, Regina McNamee and Donna Ciatteo; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Friends may call today after 9 a.m. at the M.F. Williams Funeral Home, Baltimore and Summit avenues, Clifton Heights.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Dennison Avenue and Burmont Road in Drexel Hill.Burial will be in Ss. William J. Ciatteo Sr., 84, of Lansdale, a longtime weaver in Clifton Heights, died June 30 at home.Born in Cedar Hollow, Pa., he lived in Clifton Heights for 75 years and attended school there, moving to Lansdale one year ago.He worked for Delaware County Memorial Hospital for 14 years as a receiver in the dietary department, retiring about 20 years ago.Before that, he spent 40 years as a weaver for Kent Manufacturing of Clifton Heights.He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Drexel Hill.Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Magdalena A. ""Peg'' Siwinki Ciatteo; two daughters, Regina A. McNamee of Swarthmore and Donna M. Ciatteo of Bear, Del.; three sons, William J. Ciatteo Jr. of Lansdale, Robert J.
