Published in the Rochester(IN) News-Sentinel, Saturday, March 28, 1949Reuben Oscar BIGGS, 58, of Culver, died at 10:30 Sunday morning in Woodlawn hospital, this city, where he had been a patient for the past nine days. He had been in ill health for three months. Mr. Biggs resided in Rochester for a number of years before moving to Culver. A native of Cass county, he was born October 27, 1890. His parents were Frank and Annetta (ALSPACH) BIGGS. He was employed as a trucker up until his last illness. Survivors are his widow, Myrtle Edith BIGGS; a daughter, Mrs. Martha PICKENS, Logansport; a stepson, Clyde HICKMAN, Plymouth; two sisters, Mrs. Tess CALHOUN, Monterey, Mrs. Cannie WOLFE, Rochester; five brothers, Earl [BIGGS], Columbus, O.; Dee [BIGGS], Macy; George, Archie and Dewey [BIGGS], Rochester; eight grandchildren, one of whom, James McCLATH, makes his home with his grandparents. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon 2:30 o'clock at the Easterday Funeral Home, Culver. Rev. I. G. ROEBERER will officiate. Burial will be in the Culver cemetery.
