Death
Nancy Cordell, aged 66 years, died at her home, 203 North Potomac Avenue, at noon Tuesday from heart trouble following an illness of four weeks. She was born at Old Forge, March 31, 1861, the daughter of Joshua and Hanna Wagaman Barnes, and was a member of the Episcopal Church at Beartown. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, B.F. Cordell, Blue Rock; Samuel D. Cordell, Five Forks; Mrs. Fred Fishack, at home, and 13 grandchildren, also the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Amanda Hollingsworth, Waynesboro; Mrs. Kate Swishard, Buena Vista; John William and Harry Barnes, New Baltimore, and Edward Barnes, Rouzerville. Burial will be in Nunnery Cemetery.Waynesboro Record Herald, October 12, 1927.
