Charles Music

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Vega United Methodist Church in Vega with the Rev. Kirk Watson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Charles was born April 17, 1932, in Cliff, Ky., and moved to Amarillo in 1952. He married Sue Ivy in 1954. They owned and operated Music Dry Cleaners in Vega, where he also was a charter member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Vega Volunteer Fire Department. Charles served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a truck driver for more than 20 years with Safeway and Northwest Trucking of Denver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Music; a daughter, Pam Morton and husband Chris; two grandsons, Mike and wife Natasha and Chris and wife Jessica; and two great-granddaughters, Sarika and Nayeli.
The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
