VEGA - Lela Voyles, 88, died Tuesday, July 9, 2002, in Hereford.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Peach, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega by Vega Funeral Home.
Mrs. Voyles was born in Sidney, on July 22, 1913. She was a homemaker and worked in the Vega Library and Vega School. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Voyles; and four sons, John David Voyles, Bobby Jack Voyles, Dickey Ray Voyles and Billy Dean Voyles.
Survivors include a son, James Voyles and wife, Esta, of Canyon; four grandsons, Bruce Voyles, Mike Voyles, David Loyd and Cody Voyles; five granddaughters, Becky Gross, Dee Dee Hutcherson, Cindi Riccardi, Susan Centefonti and Maria Lewis; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 414, Vega, TX 79092.
The body will be available for viewing from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends at 9 a.m. Friday at the fellowship hall in First Baptist Church.
