Individual Details

William W. Warner

(Nov 1869 - 18 Jul 1917)

The death certificate suggests NY for Willies dad.. but the name was absent.. perhaps this is what Louis A Warner was told over the years.. 1875 City directory has Louis living at 551 W. 21st street. 1880 City directory he is gone. a Mary shows up in that 1880 directory as a Widow, but her husband was called Artemus... hmmm Lewis reappears in the 1885 census as a laborer living at 1728 Clark street in the 1892 City Directory I see Louis as a hostler living at 87 Whiting, and William W makes his debut as a mailer in a newsroom living at 1576 Lill Avenue, in the 1900 City Directory Louis is a laborer living at 1281 n either 58th or 68th street, while Willie is a foreman for a news company living at 1423 N Sawyer ave, which is Our Willie as verified in the 1900 census, in the 1910 city directory there is no Louis, but WIllie is a mailer living at 1016 Helden. We know he will not show up in the 1923 city directory.. those are the only ones I was able to peek at online
