Bill G. Ivy, 66, of Amarillo, died Friday, June 15, 2001.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Brentwood Chapel at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. Paul Richardson of Rockwell Road Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Ivy Grapevine Ranch Cemetery at Oldham County.
Mr. Ivy was born in Vega. He attended Amarillo High School and Colorado A&M University.
He married Mary Lou Payne at Olsen Park Baptist Church in Amarillo on Oct. 30, 1965. He was a member of the Texas Cattle Raisers Association and co-owner and operator of Grapevine Ranch in Oldham County.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Ivy of Amarillo and Bill Ivy Jr. of Canyon; a sister, Sue Buescher of Amarillo; two brothers, Joe Ivy of Amarillo and Mack Farr of Burton; four grandchildren, Lane Ivy, Brent Ivy, Jarrah Ivy and Meagan Ivy; a special great-nephew, Jeremy Norman; special nieces, JoLynn Ivy of Canyon, Michelle Norman of Dallas and Melinda Switzer of Amarillo; and other nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176-0001.
