ROMPALA HARRY J.
Age 85, of Bethel Park, peacefully at home on Thursday, June 9, 2011. Husband of the late Dorothy G. Rompala; father of Carol Fehriens (the late Larry), Nancy (John) Cardiello, John (Anna-Marie) Rompala, Ronald (Lynn) Rompala and the late Donald Clayton; cherished friend of Edna Hritz; grandfather of Donald Fehriens, Lori (Steve) Motosicke, Dana and Darlene Mauro, Dustin and Tyler Rompala; great-grandfather of Danielle, Richard, Clayton, Stacie and Lisa; great-great-grandfather of Billy and Alaina; son of the late Julian and Mary; brother of Casmir. Preceded in death by brother Michael and sisters Stella, Sophie and Bernice, also many nieces and nephews. Harry was awarded the Purple Heart for action in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a member of VFW Post #6675, SNPJ Lodge #6, Disabled American Veterans & the Bethel Park Jugo-Slav club. Friends received at the DAVID J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library on Monday, June 13 from 2-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday in Saint Paul of the Cross Monastery, South Side at 10:30 a.m. Internment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the Autism Center of Pittsburgh, 135 Cumberland Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or at
