Death
Martha S. Lamb RumeryBirth: 1808Death: Jan. 29, 1884Oshkosh Daily Northwestern Wed 30 Jan 1884 page 4:Mrs. M. L. Rumery died at her residence, corner of 9th and Minnesota streets, last night shortly after midnight. Mrs. Rumery was in good health and spirits yesterday and last evening attended the revival meeting at the First Presbyterian church. On coming out of the church she felt faint and a hack was sent for, but she proceeded a short distance before the hack arrived. Just before the hack arrived she fell in an apoplectic fit and was lifted unconscious into the vehicle and taken home, where she expired about twenty minutes past midnight. She was nearly 76 years of age and a very early settler in this vicinity. She was mother of L. O. Rumery, Mrs. Jerome Davis, and a sister of Mrs. C. D.Church, all of this city.Endnotes
