Mrs. Ethel M. Carbaugh,83, star Route South, McConnellsburg, widow of John E. Carbaugh, died Friday evening, May 1,1981, in the Swaim Home, Newville.Born October 15, 1897, in Ayr Township, Fulton County, Mrs. Carbaugh was the daughter of the late Webster and Julia Peck Seville. Her husband died in 1926.She was a member of the Cito Methodist Church.Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Blanche) Martin, Chambersburg; three sons: Daniel M. DeShong, Star Route South, McConnellsburg; Donald E. Carbaugh, Burnt Cabins and John T. Carbaugh, Big Cove Tannery; 12 grandchildren, a number of great grand children and a brother, Dorie Seville, Star Route South, McConnellsburg.The funeral was held Monday, May 4, at 2:00 PM in the John J. Kelso Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, with the Rev. David Cheslock officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery.
