Mrs. Paul HoffmanDies FollowingProlonged IllnessMrs. Paul Hoffman, neeNellie Gunnell, died May 11 ather residence at 1043 Lathrop.She had suffered from arthritisfor a number of years, and wasstricken with a heart attacklast Saturday. She was 79 yearsold.Mrs. Hoffman, who was bornin Chicago, May 27, 1878, toBurgess and Ellen Gunnell, wasan active pianist and organistin her youth, and had playedfor many events at Our Ladyof Sorrows church. Chicago.While residing here with adaughter, Mrs. Dorothy Miller,she was a member of St. Luke'schurch.She is survived by anotherdaughter, Virginia Baron, ofOak Park; two sons, Paul andRichard, of Chicago; a brother,Louis Gunnell of Banning,Calif.; b r o t h e r s George,Howard, William and Frank,and sisters Ruth Anderson andMay Jones, all of Oak Park.Services were held at theDrechsler funeral home onTuesday, May 14, and a mass jwas said by the Rev.
