Ernest LEWIS, 60, native of Jefferson township, died at his home 4527 Wigger street, Marion at 10 P.M. Saturday after a serious illness since last August 4. He had been in ill health for two years.
Mr. LEWIS was the son of Leander and Emma Adams LEWIS and was married to Nova DILLON, who survives him. The family moved to Marion 23 years ago. Mr. LEWIS was an employee of the Grant County highway department.
Surviving are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd V. SMIJT and Mrs. Andrew
WHITEHURST, both of Marion; a sister, Mrs. John GROFF, Mt. Etna, and six grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Needham funeral home in Marion where friends may call and where funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday.
Interment will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Ernest's father was Leander LEWIS, Son of Soloman LEWIS, Pioneer from Jefferson Twnsp. Ernest mother remarried after Leander's death to Jacob HUFFMAN.
