Here is Frances' obit: "A WIDELY KNOWN WOMAN HAS PASSED AWAY
Mrs. Frances Martha Boals, aged 64 years, widow of the late William H. Boals, died at the family home near Gresham Saturday afternoon....She had been sick for a considerable time, a sufferer from a complication of diseases. Her friends had realized the past few weeks she could never again be well. She was born in Centre county, Pa., on June 5, 1847. She was a daughter of the late William and Isabel Mallory. She was a member of the Evangelical church and was an earnest Christian woman whose place in the community will be filled with difficulty. Her husband died March 4 of this year. She is survived by these children: V.L., W.J., J.C. Boals, Mrs. William Moore, Mrs. E.L. Height, Mrs. Clarence Bowe, Mrs. Frank Sloan, Miss Louisa Boals. There are also the following brothers and sisters: C.H., W.H., H.H., C.S., B.F. and E.F. Mallory, Mrs. Louisa McVeigh, Mrs. Jessie Powers, Mrs. Clara Abel, Mrs. Ida Sterling, Mrs Isabel Proper, Mrs. Gay Strawbridge.
Funeral services in her remembrance will be held at the residence near Vrooan on Tuesday at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev. Mr. McIntyre will be in charge of the ceremonies. Interment will be made in Fairview cemetery."
