Death
Henry O. Davis, Newport died Sunday, August 29, 1971 at 5:30 a.m. in Lewstown Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past several years.
Born September 1, 1906 in Hollidaysburg, he was a son of J. Gamel [sic] and Kate (Isett) Davis. He married Thelma Mae Dixon of Saxton on June 5, 1941. She preceded him in death on August 10, 1957. Surviving are two brothers, John Davis and Gamel [sic] Davis both of Camp Hill. Several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
The deceased was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 473, Cambridge Springs. Formerly employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways, he retired several years ago due to ill health.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 31 at 2 p. m. from the Masood Funeral Chapel, Saxton. The Rev. Lee Snyder will officiate and interment will be made in Grandview Cemetery, Saxton. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7 p.m. today August 30, until the hour for the services Tuesday.
