ROBERT LYLE HUNTER
Robert Lyle Hunter, formerly a resident of Harrisburg, who for the past eight years made his home at Hollidaysburg, died about 10 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Benjamin F.
Warfel, on East Allegheny Street, his death being due to apoplexy. Mr. Hunter was in good health to all appearances, and on Thursday walked about town, and also visited Bellwood during the day. Mr. Warfel heard him upstairs yesterday morning about 8 o'clock dressing. When he did not come down stairs in due time, an investigation was made and he was found lying dead on the floor near the bed in his room, where he had been seized with the stroke after having finished dressing. His daughter was out of town at the time but arrived home last evening. Deceased was born in Antis Township 74 years ago, being the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hunter, brother deceased. He was a charter member of the Westminster Presbyterian church at Harrisburg; was veteran of the Civil war and was for number of
years employed by the Pennsylvania railroad company as a passenger engineer. Eight years ago he retired from the service, at which time he came here from Harrisburg to make his home with his daughter. One daughter, Mrs. Warfel and a son Robert West Hunter, of London, England survive;
also these brothers and sisters; Mrs. H. C,. Tussey and Mrs. Anna Fleck of Altoona; Mrs William Tussey, Tyrone; Mrs. Blair Roller, of Willimasburg; Miss Bertha Hunter and Miss Floy Hutner, of Bellwood; Mrs. Edithe Radabaugh, of Tusla (sic) Okla. Mrs J.A. Sheppard, of Brooksville; James of Gilman and Willam, of Kansas. Short funeral services will be conducted at the Warfel home at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The remains will be taken on the 9:52 train Monday morning to Harrisburg, where services will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in the Westmintster Presbyterian church.
Interment will be made at Harrisburg.
