William was an accountant and an enthusiastic researcher into the history of the BOWLBY family for many years while living in San Jose, CA. He was responsible for gathering much of the early English and American history of the family found in the beginning of Book 1 of Raymond Edwin BOWLBY's work. He had a heart attack in the mid-1970's, after which Raymond lost contact with him.
