Hannah BOWLBY

Hannah was the second of Samuel's daughters to be named in her grandfather's will of 1779. In a petition to halt the sale of her father's lands on 19 NOV 1824, she was the third heir to be mentioned.

Melva CALAMAN provided the following:
" I have a copy of Hannah PIATT's will dated and filed for probate April, 1842. She was of New Hampton, Hunterdon co., N.J.. It names three daughters:Elizabeth BAKER, wife of William BAKER; Anna RICE, wife of Moses RICE; and Sarah PIATT and a son James PIATT deceased with his share to go to his two children (not named) when they become of age.. It also names Tamson, daughter of Mary PIATT deceased, and Hammeram, daughter of Sarah PIATT. She named Sylvester BOWLBY as executor and Sarah Bowlby HESS also had him for her executor."
