THOMAS ROSS: Thomas J. ROSS, 91, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Feb. 16, 2007 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. He was born on July 26, 1915 in Liberty Township, Ohio, son of the late Jesse and Annabelle (Perry) ROSS. Thomas was a farmer and a member of the Palestine Church of Christ. He was also a township trustee for one term and on the board of the ASCS office for three terms. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles ROSS of Maryland and his twin brother, David ROSS of Liberty, Ind.; and sisters, Louis Oates NORTH of Greenville and June EIKENBERRY of Pitsburg. He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Smith) ROSS of Greenville, whom he married on Dec. 27, 1941; son and daughter-in-law, Stanley J. and Patrice ROSS of Columbus; daughters and son-in-law, Lura ROSS of Minn., and Roberta and Charles McINTYRE of Grand Junction, Colo.; grandchildren, Elyse MANCY, Julie MANCY, Greg MANCY, Charles McINTYRE III, Eric McINTYRE, Rebecca ROSS and Tom ROSSs; three great-grandchildren; four nephews and four nieces. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery, Palestine. An AA meeting will follow graveside services at the Palestine Church of Christ. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
