Death

"Naomi E. Foor, 91, of The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of Curryville, passed away early Wednesday afternoon, July 25, 2012, at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring [Blair Co, PA]. She was born Aug. 27, 1920, in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Emory and Mary Elizabeth (Dilling) Sollenberger. She married J. Clifford Foor on June 17, 1945, in Williamsburg [Blair Co, PA]. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2003. Surviving are two sons: Gary W. (wife, Margaret) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Gregoy J. (wife, Loreen) of Martinsburg; a daughter, Gloria D. Julius (husband, James) of Sarasota, Fla.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Sell of Martinsburg. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan A. Horneff, and a brother, E. Cletus Sollenberger. Naomi was a member of Curryville Church of the Brethren, where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was a 1937 graduate of Williamsburg High School. Naomi was primarily a homemaker who enjoyed needlework, crocheting, quilting and volunteering at The Village at Morrisons Cove. Friends were received 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at Curryville Church of the Brethren with Pastor David R. Stiles officiating. Interment to follow at Dry Hill Cemetery, rural Woodbury [Bedford Co, PA]. The family prefers memorial contributions be given to the Curryville Church of the Brethren."
