Anna D. (Dilling) Helsel

Anna D. (Dilling) Helsel, 88, a resident at The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of Country Manor Apartments, Duncansville, and Brookes Mills, died Friday evening, Oct. 5, 2007, at the home. She was born in Woodbury, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Jane (Hollinger) Dilling. She married Welford A. Helsel May 5, 1940. He died Sept. 24, 1963. She is survived by two children: Candace Kinser and husband, Bob, of American Fork, Utah, and Robert E. Helsel of Dover; 10 grandchildren: Kevin, Kim, Bobby, Gayla, Stephen, Holly, Lisa, Billie Jo, Robbie and Donnie; and 28 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a brother, Robert Dilling of Chambersburg. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Ira and David. Anna was a member of Vicksburg Grace Brethren Church. She had been employed at the Roaring Spring Department Store for many years and worked at Nason Hospital’s cafeteria. She was a graduate of Woodbury High School. Anna loved to sew and cook for her family. Friends will be received from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at Vicksburg Grace Brethren Church by Pastor Roger K. Myers. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
