She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Neal Carbaugh; father-in-law, Fred G. Bechtel; and grandparents, Forest and Elva McVicker.
Mrs. Bechtel was an active member of Clover Creek Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg RR 2, and was involved in several community events.
She was a 1974 graduate of Northern Bedford County HIgh School, Loysburg, and also attended Lock Haven University.
Mrs. Bechtel was employed as a secretary for Dr. Bradley Krehl, Martinsburg, and previously was employed at New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. and as a medical secretary for Dr. Debra Pike, Roaring Spring.
She greatly enjoyed working on her and her husband’s farm and spending time with her family and friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Clover Creek Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg RR 2, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with Pastor David F.
