Death
Obituary of Orville E. BAKER
Orville E. BAKER, 77, of New Enterprise RD 1 died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, June 23, 1996, at home.
A funeral was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury, by the Rev. Melvin D. Van Orman. Burial was in New Enterprise Cemetery.
Mr. BAKER was born Dec. 24, 1918, in New Enterprise, the son of the late Andrew P. and Fannie (Longenecker) BAKER. He married Bertha M. MOWRY May 6, 1945, in Windber.
Surviving are his wife; four children, E. Andrew and John D., both of New Enterprise; Freda A. of Lancaster; and Hilda J. of Manns Choice; eight grandchildren; and a sister Ethel E. BAKER of New Enterprise RD 1.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother Frances (Bush) BAKER and a brother Gerald E. BAKER Sept. 26, 1976.
Mr. BAKER was president of New Enterprise Water Co. and a member of the New Enterprise Cemetery Association.
He was a member and treasurer of Grace Brethren Church, Hopewell RD.
