Death
Elsa R. SNEITH, 89, of Grand Island died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Lakeview Nursing/Rehab Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grand Island Cemetery. The Rev. Ronald Benson will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
There will be no visitation. Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Lakeview Nursing Home.
Mrs. SNEITH was born Dec. 18, 1911, at Ong to Earl and Beda (Roos) LARSON.. She grew up in the Edgar area and graduated from Edgar High School.
She married Herman WOODSON on Dec. 31, 1936, at Denver. The couple lived in Denver. Mr. WOODSON died in 1957.
She married Van SNEITH in December 1959 in Denver. They lived in Denver where she was the manager of Morris Apartments. She later was employed by Iliff School of Theology until her retirement.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and was an accomplished seamstress.
Survivors include three sisters, Jean FULLER and Doris WILSON, both of Grand Island, and Mabel BOWLBY of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; and a brother, Gordon Larson of Kennard.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Earnest, Ivar, Herman and Arnold LARSON and a sister, Ruby LARSON.
