Death
Obituary:
Carey RUPERT of Juniata, died at 6 pm yesterday, in the Altoona Hospital. He was born August 18, 1889, in Huntingdon Co. a son of George and Annie (Davis) RUPERT.Surviving are his wife Mrs. Marjorie (Winter) RUPERT of Hopewell; four sons and two daughters. Kenneth of Mill Hall; Dale, Robert and Marion of Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Lucille SMITH of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Mrs Geraldine BECKER of Altoona. Fifteen Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren and a brother Oscar of Huntingdon. Mr RUPERT also known as "Tasty" was the first Salesman for the Tasty-Kake Co. in this area and retired as a Crane Operator in the Juniata Shops in 1954.
He was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren in Huntingdon.
Friends will be received in the Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, from noon to 10 pm, tomorrow and after 10 am Monday.
