CARTER", and he was a prominent doctor in the University of California, San Francisco Medical School and Hospital. He co-wrote (with Langley Porter, MD) a widely used medical textbook on pediatrics. He was born in Hatfield, Missouri on November 13, 1882, the last of 8 children. On January 1st 1910 in Los Angeles, California, he married Ford GARNER of San Bernardino, California.
