Obituary
Emanuel WARSING, a highly respected resident of South Huntingdon, died in the J. C. Blair Memorial hospital this morning, May 25, 1942, at 5 o'clock. He had been a patient in the hospital for three weeks prior to his death.
Mr. WARSING was born at Tatesville, Bedford country, on September 27, 1859. At the time of death he was aged 82 years, seven months and twenty-eight days. He was one of the first employees of the Pennsylvania Industrial School, having retired about fifteen years ago after forty-two years of service. He was a faithful member of the First Methodist church.
A man of fine character and pleasing personality, Mr. Warsing had many friends, both young and old, who are deeply grieved at his passing. Although quiet and unassuming in manner, his many good deeds will live long in the memories of those who benefitted from his generosity and kindness. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Gertrude May PICKETT, Mrs. Ada Blanche MILLER, Mrs. Charlotta Elizabeth PAINTER and Charles Calvin WARSING, all of Huntingdon, and a step-son, Clarence BUSSICK, of Saxton; one sister, Mrs. Mary MILLER, 90, of Wolfsburg, and the following grandchildren: Mrs. Mary E. HALL, Huntingdon, R. D.; Charles W. PAINTER, of Mount Union; Mrs. Ethel CLARK, of Ocean City, N.J.; Mrs. Jeannette RITTER, of Washington, D. C.; Mrs. Thelma McMICHAEL, of Harrisburg; Mrs. Connie OBERLANDER, of Williamsburg, R. D.; Mrs. Martha E. BRYAN, Shirley Ann PAINTER, Robert PICKETT, Jean WARSING and James WARSING, all of Huntingdon. There are two great grandchildren, Ronald HALL, of Huntingdon, R. D. and Samuel McMICHAEL, of Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be held at his late home, 832 Penn's Avenue, in charge of the Rev. Samuel W. Strain. Burial will be made in Riverview cemetery.
Friends are being received at the Warsing home in South Huntingdon.
