Notes
Death
The Daily News Huntingdon, PA, Page 5, Monday, April 23, 1934.
Mrs. Mary E. BRUMBAUGH
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth BRUMBAUGH died very suddenly at her home, in
Russellville, Saturday forenoon at eleven o'clock and from which she never
regained consciousness.
Mrs. BRUMBAUGH was a daughter of John H. and Delliah RUSSELL and was born December 25, 1858, at Russellville, where she spent practically all of her
life. She was twice married, her first marriage being to Jacob FOREMAN, a
son of the late Hon. Tobias and Mary KELLER FOREMAN, October 13, 1881. To this union three children were born, namely, Mrs. Harry WEAVER, 530 Penn Street, Huntingdon and Mrs. Samuel CLAPPER, of Russellville. Mr. FOREMAN died April 24, 1885, and seven years later she was married to George BRUMBAUGH, a son of the late Rev. and Mrs. George BRUMBAUGH of Fredericksburg, Pa. To this union three children were born, Robert,
deceased; Mrs. Henry BRYANT, of Russellville, and Mrs. Elvin HESS, of 312
Penn Street, Huntingdon, Pa.
Three sisters and one brother also survive: Mrs. Ruth DORMAN and Mrs.
Henrietta FOREMAN, both of Russellville; Mrs. Susan MOORE, of Saxton, and
Dewalt RUSSELL, of Martinsburg.
Mrs. BRUMBAUGH had been a consistent member of the Reformed church since childhood, and was a kind unassuming woman whose chief interests centered in planning for the welfare and happiness of others, and in the planting of trees that coming generations might enjoy and which live in a living tribute to her memory.
Funeral services, to which the relatives and friends of the family are
invited, will be held at the home on Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock,
conducted by Rev. YELSEY. Brown's funeral service.
