Notes
Death
Mrs. Ann Rebecca ACKER, beloved wife of Mr. Levi D. Acker, of Beavertown,
died at the residence of her husband, on Tuesday morning, December 31, 1895, aged 38 years, 11 months, and 7 days. Her death was due to Typhoid fever, from which she had been a patient sufferer for two weeks, her spirit taking its flight to that brighter and better world in the closing hours of the dying year. Deceased was oldest child of Rev. and Mrs. Jacob S. BASSLER of this place. About 12 years ago she was united in marriage to Mr. Acker, and her life has been a cheerful and affectionate one, full of many kindly acts to neighbors. She was a consistent member of the Church of God, and died in the full hope of a blissful immortality. Besides the husband and parents, she is survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. J. C. Mock, of Tyrone; Mrs. Jacob Greaser, of Martinsburg, and J. H. Bassler, of Navarre, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday morning at the late home of the deceased. Interment in Beavertown cemetery.
